Did this really happen they say the killers have never been caught, how much is really true? Just seen the newest movie.

I've talked to my parents about it and they said that it was true.Messed up ha? In the re make (with Jessica Beil) the ending clip in black and white was real.

if you watch the old Texas Chainsaw Massacre is says in the beginning of the movie that it was based on actual events. I dont know if he was caught but im sure that Hollywood played it up a little. I know from what i was told the new one was very Hollywood and not so much based on the true story.

Contrary to popular belief, the film does not depict factual events, but instead was (like the films Psycho and The Silence of the Lambs) loosely inspired by Ed Gein, who, while he did wear human skin, acted alone and did not use a chainsaw

It never happened. In the original, Tobe Hooper loosely based the serial killer theme on Ed Gein, a real serial killer.

Master Physcho Ed Gein Murdered and slaughtered woman because he was suppodly confronted and had his mothers voices in his head telling him to kill innocent woman. No Chainsaw either. But all the mad and macabre is true. He was last thought to be wearing a womans face when video of him in a dark room was released

it's an amalgam of various serial killers. The original from the 70's is the best version. THAT one you could believe is real.
