I am and asked our county attourney if there was anyting I could do. He said post a no tresspassing sign and anyone not welcome on your property can be arrested for CRIMINAL TRESPASSING. So the sign went up today. I figured since they couldn't walk through WAL- MART or any of the local businesses, a persons home should have even more rights. The reason for my anger is The Jehovah witnesses visited this weekend while my daughter was home from college and we were having a rare sit down family meal together, but the kicker was the Christmas day visit by them as I sat down with my wifes parents for Christmas dinner. How stupid and inconsiderate. Got any horror stories?

I just love spoting the differences between theory and what happens in real life. (Cloud cuckoo-land - just say "No" - and, in-your-dreams - They never come back.) I have the opposite problem. I'd love various religionists to call at my door but their X-ray vision seems to enable them to spot a "Leper! Unclean! Unclean!" sign above my door and they haven't called for decades. Can we swap houses?

I know of 2 local JWs who delivered coal on Christmas Day. (Makes a change from "The Watchtower", but then, there's a lot more money involved.) One kindly householder gave them a shot of whisky each. Seeing as they'd climbed 5 flights of stairs up a tenament with sacks of coal on their backs, it was a charitable act and probably saved having to call the ambulance.

As for the politicians - all I get are leaflets, and I'm grateful for small mercies. They must think we're stupid if they imagine a two minute door-step call will persuade us to vote for them.

I just never answer the door. It works fine for me.

Frank R: The Supreme Court recently ruled that a complete ban on guns in Washington DC is unconstitutional. That same should apply wherever you live.

At times, a question such as this will elicit dozens and dozens of elaborate schemes to spare a householder an unwanted conversation with Jehovah's Witness door-to-door ministers.

All such schemes are a complete and utter waste of time!

Many of your neighbors have figured it out, and it's really quite simple:
1. Open the door
2. Smile (optional)
3. Ask "Jehovah's Witness?"
4. Receive affirmation
5. Say, "Thank you, but I'm not interested"
6. Gently close the door (slamming is rude, but your prerogative)

Please recognize that Jehovah's Witnesses are not primarily interested in converts, but in working to obey Jesus' command to preach (Matt 24:14; Matt 28:19,20).

Funny, because my neighbor was breaking into my house, but the police said they had to catch him doing it. So I posted a NO TRESPASSING sign, and caught him in my yard and called the police. the police said all they can do is issue a TICKET for no trespassing. Where are my rights?

yes, where I live there is a housing community that has passed a ordinance that you cant have guns in your house ( I live in the U.S. by the way). I wish I lived in that addition just so I could invite them to come and try to take mine if they are feeling spry
