well i have a 55 gallon with a 6 1/2 inch bala shark, and 6 inch columbian shark(catfish), 5 inch knife fish, and 4 black skirt tetras. when my tank started leaking out i didn't know what to do, so i left it alone for how many weeks maybe month(s) or so, then the leak got sealed by itself, the reason i didn't move or did something was, i didn't know what to do because the leak is coming from under the tank which is really a lot of stress for me to move my fish into a container and seal the tank for maybe a week or so, it might kill my fish so i didn't do it. good thing about though was, the leak was sealed unknowingly maybe because i didn't do any water changes or whatever that may give weight on entire tank, the tank lost about 1/4 of its original water level. Now the problem is, i haven't done a weekly water changes since the leak came and was sealed, i was afraid to do any water change thinking it might break the glass underneath. swimming around the top, he's not weak or so, i've been feeding him a pellets together with frozen bloodworms for the other fish, i know that columbian sharks or catfish likes brackish water when they reach adulthood, could this be a sign of the catfish wanting brackish water? my other fish seems to fine with the water, or is my catfish just playing around the top? he doesn't look sick, no "white spots" no fungus! completely in good shape? just noticed a change in his behavior.
