It would be helpful to specify which God you are making reference to as conceptions of the origins of divine beings vary. Also if your question is about ideas of God, this can also differ quite a bit. If your question is in reference to the God of Christian Revelation, then the answer is that God is, in his essential nature, eternal, so he has always existed. He is without beginning or end, he is and will always be. There never was a time when God did not exist. God did not originate or come from anything. God is dependent upon no other being or creature for his existence. This is all deeply mysterious language and it challenges the limits of our understanding-- but to quote the great spiritual masters: "sic comprehendis non est deus"-- which means-- if you understand it, it is not God!

--RIGHT NOW that is really impossible to know! But it is possible to accept!

--For instance, can we write the smallest or largest number & finally come to a conclusion on that matter?
--NO, simply because the numbers in both ways can always be increased & decreased!

--HAVE astonomers finally found the end of the universe?
-----NO & maybe will never be able to do so?
--IF THAT BE TRUE-would it not be best to accept that? Simply because all they are finding is that it goes on & on?
--I CAN LIVE with that and not go crazy, should we not all recognize that God indeed is of a nature that we may never , ever be able to FULLY comprehend!

--SO THEN does our life depend on knowing why he has always been?

--That is as simple as I can understand & explain--hope it helped a little!

I believe god came from people whose ignorance scared them. Believe what you want but i believe god is just a way to answer a question that cannot be answered. Its human nature to search for answers. Humans just can't accept that we may never know where we came from. God is also an a motivation towards making the correct decisions.
