An alloy that is one karat gold contains a weight of pure gold that is one part in twenty-four. What is the volume of gold in a 18.0 karat gold necklace whose weight is 1.24 N?

I have no idea even how to start this problem. I tried doing a % and i was WAY off...

Force = Mass * Acceleration, weight is the Force due to gravity where the mass is weighed.

1.24 N = m_necklace * g
g=9.8 m/s^2

m_necklace=12.9 grams

m_gold=m_necklace * (18karat/24karat)

m_gold=9.68 grams

Now that you have the mass of the gold, use the density of gold to get the volume

Density = Mass/Volume

Volume = Mass/Density

Just change karat to percent. 18 karat is 18/24 gold, or 75% gold. That makes for .93N. If you have the density of gold you can change that to volume.

Pure gold is 24 carat so 18carats is 18/24 gold.
The volume of gold in this instance would be :
18/24 x 1.24N which is 0.93 N.
(whatever N is)

No. They low-ball the fee and already have it melted down so once you protest, they up the fee a sprint. You particularly plenty get ripped off via them yet you get it worse in case you bypass to a flea industry the place somebody is paying for silver and gold. you prefer gold or silver for fee, purchase the .999 wonderful stuff and cling onto it. Gold or silver. purely element that should finally be extra effective is nutrition, weapons, ammo, whiskey. ok, maybe meds too. in case you sent them .999 wonderful ounce of gold, they might probably purely supply you approximately 600.00. tops. it is merchandising at spot for over 900.00. probably grant you much less thinking you're a fool and that i dont think of they had blush approximately it the two.
