I am looking for projects for a co-ed high school youth group. We're looking for things to make that we can then sell or auction off to raise money for a summer camp for kids with cancer. We're having a Bingo fundraiser and looking to have some additional items available to raise some extra money. Any ideas?? So far we have the following ideas: painted pots, knitted scarf, fabric covered notebooks, cookie in a jar kits. Help!! Our event is a month away!!

Buy in bulk a lot of plain white T Shirts, different sizes, then get small bottles of fabric paints. Set up a table with a small booth. Sell the t shirt, letting the person sit and "design" their shirt choosing a set number of colors. They choose the colors but you say choose 3 or 2, etc. Have an area where you can hang the shirts on a "line" to dry. Having a contest later in the day to give a prize for the top 3 shirts.

You could go to local businesses and ask for their support. Maybe they would donate something for you to raffle off and you could sell tickets for, or smaller items that could be sold. Baked items always sell- cookies, pies etc. Just make sure they are all labelled well as to ingredients- ie. for people who have allergies.
Wish you a very successful fundraiser..

Purses & wallets can be really fun & easy!! So can flaring out and.or patching up old jeans.

I've found tons & tons of inspiration at http://craftster.org - I'm sure you can find more than a few ideas (& tutorials, if needed) there, for all skill levels!!

These band cuffs are much quicker than a scarf and require far less yarn: http://keeponknittinginthefreeworld.blogspot.com/2006/07/band-cuffs-free-pattern.html

Scarf weather is almost over, but band cuffs in cotton (Elmore-Pisgah Peaches & Crème or Lily Sugar 'n Cream) can be worn year-round.

Have as many people as you know go to:

Supply-n-Learn.com

They can each purchase a Summer Bridge Workbook and $2 of each book sold can go to you. (Make sure they specify where the $2 goes to)
It's also educational.
