There are a few good ways to get tutoring jobs. Below are some suggestions for tutors for high school, junior high, or elementary school:
1. Post an ad at the local library.
2. Contact the local school system and see if you can advertise with them.
3. Put a flier in mailboxes near your home.
4. Word of mouth.
5. Post an ad in the local newspaper

If you're advertising for college:
1. Place fliers in the dorms with the tear off numbers at the bottom.
2. Place fliers in the library.
3. Advertise in the student union.
4. See if you can put an ad in the college paper.
5. Again, word of mouth.
6. Myspace
7. Post fliers in the building for the area you specialize in (e.g. business building).
8. Leave little cards or small fliers in classrooms on desks or post on bulletin boards in class buildings.
9. Contact the academic advisors and let them know you're available. They can tell the students they advise.

Hope this helps!!

Advertise on Craigslist. I've received several tutoring jobs from advertising on that site.

Post flyers at the library and a lot of school districts compile names so that when parents ask, they just give them the list. So submit your name to districts in your area.

Be sure to list your credentials and specialty areas.
