The first thing you should do is find out a name and buisness plan for your service. Then you should post flyers and advertise. (Maybe for when people are on vacations and stuff like that.) 2 things you can do: start to dog sit for your parent's friends or your friends and get them to recommend you to their dog owning friends. You could also (if you know your neighbors well) go door to door and advertise. Tell them about your service and give them a flyer. DON'T DO THIS IF YOUR NEIGHBORS ARE ALMOST STRANGERS AND YOU DON'T KNOW OR TRUST THEM!!! Hope this helps! :)

Seriously, though, the best thing you can do is make flyers and stuff to hang around your neighborhood. And talk to everyone you know about what you want to do. Word of mouth drives most independent businesses.
