take a trip to the morgue and show him what will happen if he overodoses. Tell his parents. Convince him to see a counciler. He might get mad for a bit but later he'll thank you. Extreme addictions need extreme actions. When I moved away, 2 years later my old neighbor od. I wish some of his friends would of helped him; he died a week before 21.

His parents should be the ones involved in this. He needs to get help. Addiction is something that you cant just quit from one day to another. He needs rehab along with some type of program. Support him and make him see the reality of this problem.

There isnt much you can do for him really. Best thing you can do to help is to tell his parents. If you dont, your just hidding the problem just like he is.

I hate to tell you this, but you may also need to stay away from him. This might affect you more that you think. Let him know that. Sometimes loosing a good friend can set reality to some.

Good Luck

The problem with people who do drugs is that you can't make them stop, they have to do it for themselves. The trick is you need to find an adult who will be tolerant and can get through to him. if you know an older sibling who could talk to him, or an open minded adult try to have them approach him about it and if need be, be there when he tells his parents about it (if he needs the support). Try to avoid someone who will freak out or go crazy on him because that might only make him do more drugs screw with his head. But if the situation is really bad you'll have to tell the parents.

If he doesn't want to go to rehab, then it doesn't seem like he wants help. He apparently can't see the poor shape he's in. This puts the responsibility in your hands. I would tell his parents and the administrators at his school about what's going on. They will take some appropriate action. He may get angry at you for this, but his well-being and survival are more important than your friendship.

I think that he needs to discuss the matter with his parents, and you might offer moral support by being with him when he does so. This is a case for tough love: if he won't quit, you need to read him out of your life.

first talk to him... you have to tell him he has to tell his parents or he could get sick, a disease, or die! his parents might be mad but theyll take him to they doctor and the doctor will probably give him a lecture too (maybe some medicine)

just tell your friend that your there for him and just want to help and it is the best thing in mind to tell his parents so he can get help from a doctor

It seems the only way to get him to stop is to go to his parents. He'll probably be really mad at you for a while, but later on he will thank you for saving his life. I'm sure of it.

Tell his parents. I know it doesn't seem like a good thing to do to a friend, but when he's clean again and actually has a chance to live his life, he'll thank you.

Stay away from them. hang with positive poeple. The only way to stop drugs is by letting them helping themselves. Thay have to start change alone. Theey will realize that they lose good friendship because of their drug use.
