whose name is on the birth certificate as the father? maybe laws differ from state to state, but as i understand things it is all about who is listed on the birth certificate as the father. after one year passes it really doesn't matter what a paternity test shows. all legally binding responsibilities (child support) belong to the man listed on the birth certificate. you might want to do some checking before you spend the money.

Yes you do need to have a test done so at least your husband can know who's child is his who's child isn't him nothing against you but if you do divorce he could get rights on both the kids since he acted as the parent without proper knowledge or whatever yes get the paternity test done!
That's a BIG deal =)
oh and you don't need to marry someone you've already cheated on for future preferences that's just a big cry out saying he's not enough for you or the one you want to be with the rest of your life.

Yes, for the sake of the child. The child should know the truth. My mom didn't tell my brother dad wasn't his dad untill he was in his twenties. He was so hurt he didn't communicate with my mom for years and to this day acts different towards both of my parents. My mom finally told him because of health issues. Another reason you should have it done.

Obviously this is not your biggest quandary . For a multitude of reasons the test should be done , apparently years ago .

If he decides he doesn't want to pay child support, he can get a DNA test done for both children. If you don't want him to have rights to your kids, then get DNA tests done on both children.

I say yes, you never know what could come up down the road . It could be important that you and even more important that your child knows who her biological father is. Think financial, legal and mental assurance. Peace of mind if...

I can see why the divorce is coming.
These issues you are going through are why we are not supposed to cheat.
Sad for the kids.
