how do i drain the coolant reservoir in my 97 mountaineer?

ive drained the engine completely but the resevoir still has coolant in it.

Unplug it from the radiator and allow it to drain into a can or something.

If you can't remove the reservoir physical to drain it you can by an inexpensive suction device like a gas syfening hand pump. but usually the reservoir holds so little fluid that to mix it with the new coolant and water will no dramatically effect your system

take the small hose off of it and let it drain or you can take the whole reservoir off and clean it out real good.

remove it then drain it in to a container. wash it out and reinstall, or you can use a turky baster to remove the coolent. do not reuse the baster in the kitchen when your done with it
