I'm confused. Liberals seem to be on such a guard against rising fundamentalist Christian forces in the U.S., but openingly support actions abroad that would create even more theocracies?

For instance, they constantly apologize for Iran's actions and opening support the premature withdrawl of American forces from Iraq. Withdrawl that will most certainly create a Shi'ite theocracy in Iraq that would murder millions of Sunni Muslims.

Whats the deal libs? Why the support for the fundamentalists?

Liberals only support Islamic theocracies. Don't look for a logical explanation, there isn't 1.

It's obvious that Bush supports a Shiite Iranian dominated government in Iraq. Why do you blame liberals for this? And who apologizes for Iran's actions? It's obvious that you don't read or stay up with the news. Where has Bush been during all these days that they kidnapped the British soldiers? He's said nothing. Why? Because he is in negotiations with Iran at the moment. If he wasn't in negotiations, he'd be shooting off his big mouth again.
It's the Bush family that supports fundamentalists. They are Bin Laden's best frient and the Saudi's best friends. Why does the Bush family support fundamentalist muslims over the American people each and everytime? Is it because they are all business partners with Halliburton and are making billions off this war? Yes, that is the answer.
You seem to want it both ways. Either liberals hate religion and are atheists or they support theocracies. Which one is it today? You can't have it both ways. Is it the red pill or the blue pill that we Americans should take today to understand you and other cons 'logic'?
Read my first 2 sites and they tell you just how much the right wing supports the terrorists and the terrorist states.

Uh, it was Bush's invastion of Iraq that created the Shi'ite theocracy there.

It's just wrong to keep compounding our wrongness with more wrongness.

No, we don't support theocracy, but we also don't support forcing our will on the people of other countries.

BTW, it was our policies in Iran that lead to theocracy there. When we murdered their leader, and kept the Shah in place for decades, we did unbeleiveable amounts of damage to them.

They were able to unite and throw us out under a religious leader. They wouldn't have gone that route if we hadn't abused them for so long.

When we support secular murderous brutes (as we did Saddam Hussein, the Shah, and many, many others), we are part of what pushes people trying to control their own countries and have decent lives into the arms of the theocrats.

i have met many conservatives that, at the same time as they could no longer easily say they opt for a theocracy in such an outstanding form of words, they quote or use God as a reason usually sufficient that it truly is extraordinarily a lot what they propose. both, even with the reality that, i have usual extra conservatives that do not opt for a theocracy, and may no longer even inevitably believe in any God. that is too restricted to assert that i'm a Liberal, or that you're a Conservative - there are such an outstanding form of ranging perspectives and evaluations even interior of those communities, they're very vast categories.

If there is a true democracy in Iraq it will be a Shi'ite theocracy.
Bush senior allowed Saddam to keep Iraq a secular state. Bush junior toppled Saddam and is trying to create a Shi'ite theocracy. What is worse, they will have close ties to Iran, maybe even form one nation.

You are confussed alrigt. Here's the difference: America is a country of religious freedom--and is going to stay that way, whether the right-wing cults that masquerade as Christians like it or not.

But--what other nations want to do is THEIR business--not ours--and certainly we should not be invading another country (Iraq) without cause (Bush's reasons bing proven lies) and imposing the right-wing's notion of a "democracy"--at the cost of thousands of American lives, over a hundred thousand dead Iraqis (plus 2 million refugees)

If the people of Iraq end up with a theocracy--that is THEIR affair, not ours.

Obviously the Christian Fundamental Evangelistic Right wing certainly supports Theocracies. As for Liberals I doubt it. They are open to everyone. Combining church and state results in countries like Iran.

Not in THIS country, the USA, while letting others choose as they will as much as possible. That principle of "church" / state separation in the USA per the Constitution is ONE reason the Dumbya Coup must go!! And to prevent the wreckage of Iraq from going theocratic after the inevitable US leaving is like trying to hold back the tide. Down with Dictator Dumbya!!!

One really cool thing about our country is that we have freedom of religion. And sorry for the insight, but lots of liberals are very religious as well. In fact, didn't didn't Jesus teach acceptance of others and peace?

You seem to think that before the US started bombing Iraq, there was no religious conflict, but that's kind of what a dictatorship does, it oppresses all other religions but the dictators' and rules through intense fear.

Why do religious conservatives think that one religion is the only religion for the whole world? Why do all other countries have to conform to us instead of overall cooperation and acceptance?

Liberals believe in freedom so much, we want you to have a choice. What is so wrong with that?

And sorry for all the questions in my answer!

What is the Republican plan to bring peace between the Shiites and the Sunnis given their past history? Unless you have such a well thought out plan that will work, it does not matter if we stay in Iraq or leave Iraq. The sunnis and Shiites will keep killing each other.

Liberals are not supporting fundamentalists in other countries: they are against getting US soldiers killed over the internal politics of sovereign foreign nations. Biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig difference.

Why do Neo-Cons think that the form of government in Iran is more important than the life of a single US soldier? Why dod the Neo-Cons hate our soldiers so?
