Everything is nature. Fighting nature is nature. I'm assuming you're talking about a person fighting their own nature. The way I see it every person's nature is a mixture of urges/desires. Sometimes those urges are in direct conflict with each other. For example: you might want to eat that cookie, but at the same time you might want to watch your figure. You are what you is. The strongest voice in your head will win. They're all you. Which voice wins, just depends on the type of person you are. Strive to be your ideal self. Try to find a way to get the voices in your head to work it out amongst themselves. If you don't, they might end up just yelling at each other and calling each other rude names; it could drive you crazy.

the mistake would be thinking we know what we're fighting against.
we can see what we call "nature" and fight against *that* -- and then win the battle... but then isn't the victory just a sign that nature has redirected us through what seemed like our own efforts?
this is the start of a neverending series of questions, and at some point you just have to stop asking.

You live inside Nature. And nature lives inside you. You want to fight nature?! No matter what you are fighting for/against, regardless nature win or lose, you will lose.

You can fight it, but nature's a pretty tough opponent. Better to be friends instead of enemies- compare the amount of life in developed cites compared to the forests. Nature helps us- why fight it?

Why not ? When we dam a stream, we're fighting nature. When we build a fire, we're fighting nature. When we dress ourselves in warm clothing, we're fighting nature.
Hundreds of examples can be given.

That's too tough a subject to answer. Nature vs nurture has always been a big topic of debate. I believe you can fight it, but many will disagree.

Well, you sure as h*ll can try, I don't like your chances though. I think its got something to do with a higher power undoubtedly being in control and everything eventually being returned to an equilibrious (is that a word !! lol) state in the lon run. I spose that's where the notion of karma comes from too, you know, what comes round goes round.............. :0)
