want to go to culinary school straight out of high school. What's it like? Is it tuff to get admitted? Is is as stressful as it seems? Where did you go? Where can you get a good culinary education without breaking the bank? What is the job market like... I live in Southern CA. Pastry VS Culinary arts?

By far the two most respected culinary arts schools are the Culinary Institute of America in New York, and Johnson & Wales University (Providence, Miami, Denver and Charlotte)

I'm so sure sure of a culinary school, but if you want to major in culinary arts at a college, my top choices would be the University of San Francisco, or the University of California, San Diego. One of my teachers also recommended some college that was "the biggest culinary school in the US" or something; I think it was somewhere in Utah, somewhere in the center of US.

in no way bypass to a culinary college that admits student who have not got any real eating place journey. those are scam colleges out to get you cash. the excellent preparation starts interior the dish room.
