I want to try to get casch for cans without driving to CA. where can I go in the south/Louisiana area?

I realize i'm not going to make a lot of money, I just want a destination for a road trip and soething to differ the price of gas.

Hi,
Since Louisiana doesn't have a bottle bill you won't get the 5 cent's per can. However, Aluminum prices have skyrocketed over the last few months and you can most likely get some amount of money for them.
There are around 30 cans in a pound and most scrap metal places are currently paying between $0.40-$0.60/lb. for cans. So you can make some $$$ selling cans. Depending on where you want to travel...you can collect the cans and call some places for prices. Then depending on where they are, you should get back more than the price of gas.
