I shamefully told this poor kid that fish couldn't breath normally in a water spout. Well this is only partly true. I can personally state that as a child I was exposed to fish dropping from the sky sent there by an apparent water spout, and those fish were still quite alive. Everyone agreed that no fish could live so long out of water, given our distance from the waves. I could only conclude that fish can "normally asperate" inside a water spout. Of course, they still might not have enjoyed it much...And I stand by my statement that even a fish could well do with a G suit in a water spout, and training in keeping the blood to it's head... :)
