Typical...is hard to answer. Water pressures from 30 to 80 are considered okay. Under 30 is low and over 80 is high. Most systems are in the 40 to 50 range.

The basic pressure varies quite a bit between different towns or cities, and it can also vary during any day, due to usage at the time.
Commonly it will be between 45 and 55 Pounds per square inch, but could be 40 and as high as 60.

there should be 60 psi maximum water pressure on municipal water systems ...on a home well water system it can be 40/50 or 60 pounds depending on the switch you buy.....

YOUR NORMAL CITY WATER PRESSURE IS ABOUT 60 PSI. IF YOU ARE ON A WELL DEPENDING ON YOUR PUMPING SYSTEM, YOUR AVERAGE PRESSURE COULD VARY ANYWHERE FROM 30-60 PSI.
