Different states do it different ways. Get a lawyer first, find out what the options are. The judge can only order within the realm of the laws in place. I would say the bitter separation wasn't a legal one, if it had been the judge would have already said who has what when it comes to the children

Each State is different. So find out what your rights are in your state, and do it if possible before the temporary hearing then have your attorney file your wishes during the temporary hearing. Then continue to fight for your Parental rights as a Parent. With out an agreement or a temporary hearing then you have every right to full access to your children. Be the best parent possible and always think "What is best for my children?" Then Do just that. Some times it is best for your children to compromise and even give in on the fight but never give in on your legal rights to your children. Always make sure your kids know you care about them.

Good Luck

well, you should be able to carry on seeing your children surely? Just because you are separated doesn't mean so say you are no longer their father. Presumably, you will continue paying for your children so you should be able to see your kids - surely she can't take your money but deny you access although, I know it goes on. Get some legal advice.

Depends where you live. In England man loses all rights to his children when you divorce. (I found that out the hard way) You have to go to court for contact but a devious, scheming and lying ex wife can stop you seeing them for 5 years as mine has. It cost me £16,500 in legal fees to be allowed to write to them one a month. In the meantime my ex isfree to poison their minds against me which she clearly does. The only winnders are the corrupt solicitors who tell their clients lies atcourtand are paid handsomely for it. They do not care about the truth, justice or anything else. Just their pay packets and how many cruisesa year they can go on.

been there done that. no other way, a court order. black and white-you and the ex will come to an agreement or the court will. then follow it, if you're not happy, back to court to change it. its mind blowing when you can't agree, so its the final option but it works. well for me for sure, she had to compromise. if either party don't follow the order expect it to be taken back to court.
in the end its not the kids fault.

If no court order is in place, just bite the bullet and try to get along for the childrens' sakes.

If there is a court order in place, exercise your visitation!
