For those of you who don't know, Adam "Pac Man" Jones is a very talented cornerback on the Tennessee Titans. He's still a young player, finishing only his second season in the league. However, he's also made a lot of news off the field for his up and down behavior - from his various donations to charity and volunteer work, to his run ins with the law, including several night club altercations, spitting on a woman, twice (two completely different incidents), and violating probation. However, his most recent incident completely crossed the line.
During the NBA all-star weekend in Vegas about a month ago, Jones entered a strip club with a garbage bag full of $1 bills (supposedly, $81,000). He "showered" some of the strippers for effect. One stripped started picking up the money, which enraged Jones. He grabbed her by the hair and slammed her head on the stage. A bouncer intervened by striking Jones and scuffling with other members of his "entourage."

Embarrassed and enraged, Jones repeatedly shouted threats to the bouncer while leaving, heard by more than 8 people in the strip club - "You're a dead man before tonight ends." A few hours later, a member of Jones' entourage as identified by several witnesses (including the owner of the club) returned with a gun to the outside of the club where a crowd had formed after exiting, and opened fire into the crowd. Three people were hit, including a bouncer shot twice who was not even on duty earlier when the incident occurred, and another man was shot and is now paralyzed from the waist down.
I think that this is more than a disgrace to the NFL, and this guy, with his past history, should not play another game in the league. If he does, I will have lost much respect for the NFL. Get these thugs out of the leagues so that young kids are not looking up to them.

Yeah...to the 40thStreet brother...there's a difference between making everyday mistakes, and telling a bouncer that he is a "dead man" and then following it up by having one of your groupies shoot up a crowd outside of that club. Yeah, I remember this one time when someone cut me off while driving. I had my buddy open up on the guy with his mac-10, he hit a few innocent bystanders but hey, we all make mistakes. Give me a ****ing break.

And to Squad97, your remarks were even more of a joke. Nobody is criticizing this guy for going to a strip club, I personally could give a **** and have been to some myself. And there are at least 8 witnesses, not including the bouncer and the stripper, that Pacman DID indeed grab the stripper by her hair while she attempted to rake up his cash that he was showering them with, and slam her head onto the stage. You look up any news story and it is in there.
And if you think that being a star player in a professional sports league grants you special privileges, as you implied by stating "as long as he doesn't kill anyone or do drugs" let him play. Why should he be granted these special privileges? Because he has a talent in sports? That is ridiculous. Why should this guy be granted privileges over doctors, professors, accountants, ANYBODY?

And funny you mention the drugs...Look up the story on drug dealer Darryl Moore. He was caught on tape with the following comments: "We gotta slow down, man. We gotta get him focused on football, man. He's focused on too much other ****...I was talkin' to him the other day about smokin', and he was like 'man, if I didn't smoke I couldn't take all the stress that I'm dealing with right now."
And no, he wasn't talking about cigarettes, or even marijuana. Most likely crack or heroin.

Now stop spewing your bull **** in my questions, you moron.
For the rest of us who live in reality, let us hope that Pacman gets put behind bars for years to come.

I think he should receive a lengthy suspension at the very least, and if it's proven that he had anything to do with the Las Vegas disaster, he's gone. You hate to judge other people, no one's perfect, but he's just a flat-out bad dude. He has proven to be violent particarly with women, and has no regard for others, or the law in general. While Jones may not be the shooter, he could be named as an accomplice and charged with coercion, battery, and making threats. Nice guy.
Forget this "he deserves a second chance". He's had MANY, and the NFL needs to take action one way or the other. Both Jones and Henry are to meet with Roger Goodell, who will make a decision on their fates. Goodell realizes that the NFL is THE top major sports league in the world and he doesn't want it to become the NBA, which has really become a second-rate sport over the last several years. Goodell will not let thugs run or ruin the league, and there has been speculation that teams will be fined, or they will lose draft choices if they don't help to clean up the league.

I think he needs kicked out of the League, and I could list some others like Chris Henry of the Bengals who just got in trouble YET AGAIN. Although I think that the embarrassment goes on the Franchise first. The League though gave these teams a chance and they won't do anything about the problem. It is time for the league to do something.
Justin- Good play on the field ISN'T a good deed. He has done enough BAD deeds, this one is just a latest in a long line. I think it has been what 9 arrests in 2 or 3 years now.

Trouble goes wherever this guy is. This isn't just a coincidence that bad things happen where he is, its a pattern. He's been questioned by police 10 times and arrested 5 time since hes been drafted. He violated his contract by not reporting two of the arrests to his team. He doesn't need to be convicted to be kept from playing football. Technically the Titans could void his contract (which I think they should do) because of the violation and I don't think any other team would pick him up. The negative publicity that surrounds him isn't good for the team or the NFL in general.

No he should never play in the NFL or any other football league again. He is a disgrace to all of professional sports and he should be punished for his actions. He is also costing the NFL money by making the game less of a family oriented thing, and he just keeps digging himself into a bigger and bigger hole. Pacman needs to be put to a stop before this kind of behaviour becomes a real problem among other players and the youth of our country.

The owner of the club wasn't there. However he should never be able to play in the NFL again... And by the way Ray Lewis was in a very similar incident... They are both thugs!!!
But just like Lewis his lawyer (same one Lewis had) will get him off and he will be running back punt returns for TD's again next year... But it won't be for the Tennessee Titans!!!

While I think expulsion from the league would be reasonable considering what he's done, I believe that he's still young and should get a second chance, but something should be done to send him a message. I think something along the lines of jail time would do him good. He most definitely has to be put in his place.

The League will never bring this under control. Until they take drastic action, such as you bring up. But it will also send a message to any of the others who want to take that Ego Trip? To stop and think about it. I say, send a message to the Players. GTFO!

With as much trouble as he has been. No way. Any normal person gets in that much trouble, and they would be thrown in the kink by now, with no chance for parole for quite a bit of time.
And a personal opinion, he is an embarrasment to West Virginia as well (since he played his college ball at WVU)

First. He went to strip clubs on his OWN time.. meaning people are invading his privacy. I never knew it was such a crime just to go to a strip club... Just to let you know.. you find a way to prove that more than 50% of your favorite athletes haven't been to one, and i'll kiss your foot.
Second. I really doubt that he slammed her head on the stage. He could be dumb.. but i don't think he's anywhere near that dumb.
Third. The stuff outside the clubs, most was provoked, not all but most.
Fourth. He's one of the top corners in the NFL, let him play as long as he doesn't kill anyone or do drugs.
