Not if you're expecting them to protect against pregnancy.

No it is not ok. Medicines have expiration dates because they are LESS effective after they expire. (they usually are made YEARS before they expire so just imagine how old the pills that you are taking are). Did you just buy these pills from a pharmacy (a few days ago?). If you did JUST buy them then return them to the pharmacy and exchange them for one not expired. If you have been holding onto it and not using it until now then your only option is to fill a new prescription or call your doctor for more pills. Do not have sex using old pills because they may not work.

It depends on what you mean by "ok". They won't hurt you, but the expiration date is when they start to lose their potency. If you want them to protect you against getting pregnant, you need to get a fresh pack of pills.

If they just expired, like this week, then don't worry about it and take them, but any more than a month don't take them, and get some new ones.

I would not recommend doing it but would instead recommend talking to your dr to see about a new prescription.
