Rolling over for?.... why not put your foot down, and show them who's boss?

I used to do that, when I was younger. I had an incredible need to make everyone happy. It really didn't work, and I felt badly for being a wimp. Getting older, I roll over for no one, although it pleases me to make my husband happy. There's a Maxine comic that I love because she is so funny, and also because this one seems to sum up where I am in life.
It's about patience and Maxine says, "Now that I'm older I thought it was great that I seemed to have more patience. Turns out that I just don't give a s***"

I dont myself roll over for anyone. I do however encourage my children to try and get along with their teachers even if they have a personality clash, as a teacher who doesnt like you can make your life or at the very least your report suck.
I always say to the kids that you don't have to like the teacher but you do have to get a good report and it is not forever, but it can mean the difference between an A and a C.

im not sure what you question is asking, are you saying im being used and treated badly because i like someone, im not tagging along after them, im just hanging out with them, I would TOTALLY put my foot down if i found out he thought i was rolling over for them
