I've always used Geocities, but I hate the ads. I'm looking for a free (either downloadable, or online) web building program that can work with html coding, that has no ads and is easy to use (kinda like Dreamweaver but simpler and free,) What do you recommend?

If you mean, writing raw html (xhtml) and all the other languages, then I recommend you download Notepad++

http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net/

Highly flexible...has a user's forum. Only problem is, documentation is online, and doesn't get downloaded with the program...

i in my view like DreamWeaver and have been utilising it for approximately six years to maintain 4 distinctive internet web pages. the means to make internet internet site huge ameliorations, besides because of fact the means to alter a document call and have it quickly discover all of the pages it might impact is incredibly powerful.

I would use Adobe fireworks, but it is pricey. If you are as computer literate as you sound, then you'll know that anything too pricey can be found on torrent
