Does sound like a dehydration headache...... drinking water will help, but you would want to make sure to have had enough water before, to prevent the headache... getting rid of it will take longer.

Since you and your husband both have headaches, you sound as if you are having an allergic reaction. It could be related to the sauna...from the finish on the walls, or possibly the circulatory system is not operating correctly. Many saunas have air circulation systems on them which can become clogged: similar to a furnace; and you could be get carbon monoxide or something similar.

You also could be having a reaction to something you ate, such as a migraine caused by MSG or other food additives.

I would definitely think about getting the sauna checked out.

Some people will get light-headed in a sauna if it is just too hot for their bodies, and that can make you sick to your stomach, but I have not heard of headaches being caused by the heat.

Good luck, I hope you both feel better.

You went into a sauna to detox? When you sweat or become dehydrated you lose valuable electrolytes like sodium, potassium, magnesium etc..What kind of detox was this? It sounds like you need to replace lost fluids and electrolytes. Try Gatorade or Propel water and stay out of this sauna thing or do any other "detox" programs. Your body needs vitamins and minerals to be healthy! Don't flush them out!
