Hello Mermaid.
I was brought up with my grand parents as my father worked abroad and my mother found another man.
My grand mother gave me advice - remember I am going back 38 years ago - she said always say no to a man - I fell in love at 17 and got married at 19 (still a virgin) but I knew when the time was right to say yes so grandmother I loved her so much but I made my own mind up eventually.

Yes, when I was a vegetarian (years ago, in high school), my grandmother told me that I should eat meat, because that's why God put animals on the earth. Boy, did I find that statement offensive!!! Maybe that's one reason I'm not a Christian today (although I do eat meat now).

Mine said "don't point at the stars or you'll get wooden finger". It still hasn't happened.

Yes she did. She was very old fashioned, and I would just listen and roll my eyes. She was the sweetest woman, and I miss her.....

Yes, "you should wear a dress". Are you kidding? Not when it's raining!
