I went shopping to buy some whipping cream for the raspberry tarts I was making my *best of friend.* There was a fight between a drunk couple... their two children between them. These kids are my students... one minute they are hugging me, the next warding off blows.
Sometimes I hate the world. Or at least the people who make selfish choices that hurt those with little to no say.
The kids are safely in a temporary foster home. I phoned them not that long ago... they're watching movies and eating popcorn. Pajama party. I'm glad for them... but I have to wonder how many times this has happened that it is so easily processed. Yup. I really hate people sometimes. As much as I see the beauty... the crap truth is that the ugly is there too.
Thanks. That really helped me get rid of some of it. Your questions always make me think... I invariably learn something :)
