Hi, at school we're programming with Visual Basic and I put my file on my memory stick to take it home. I got home and opened the file and nothing happens. Anyone know whats going on?

Don't say it's my memory stick because it's perfectly fine.

Make sure you have the appropriate driver software installed on your home computer. It sounds like your school computer has the correct driver, but for some reason your home one does not.

Try this

I have noticed some goofyness when opening files in VB Express. It appears that the file didn't open as the Start Up page is still in view and no additional tabs or windows are visible.

However the file really did open and you can't see it because the solution explorer window is closed and VB has never previously opened a form for that project so a TAB was never created.

SO after you open your file from within VB wait a minute to enshure the file has completely opened then either click the solution explorer button on the tool bare or press CTRL+R to open the solution explorer. From the explorer you can click on a form to open it

when you create a project or solution (a program) with visual basic, it consists of more than just one file. you need to copy ALL the source files for your program.
