I'm going to go old school so i will give you a link to all this players i mention OK.

F- Howie Morenz (He was nicknamed "The Stratford Streak," "The Mitchell Meteor," "L'homme eclair" (loosely translated as "Lightning Man") and "The Babe Ruth of Hockey.")Howie was one of the first to be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1945.http://www.legendsofhockey.net:8080/LegendsOfHockey/trophies/winners/ART1931.jpg

F- Maurice "The Rocket" Richard (He pulled off a five-goal game after a day spent moving to a house — including the piano — in 1944, and scored the series-winning goal of the 1952 Stanley Cup semifinals as blood dripped down his face from an earlier injury.)http://66.132.169.43/images/7115.jpg

F- Gordie Howe (He is often referred to as Mr. Hockey, and is generally regarded as one of the greatest players of all time, being most famous for his scoring prowess, physical strength, and longevity.)http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/d/d9/HartHowe.jpg

D- Bobby Orr (Orr inspired the game of hockey with his command of the two-way game, which was unique for a defenceman. Defencemen with offensive skills had not been very common in the NHL prior to his arrival, although there were some historically notable exceptions such as Eddie Shore, Doug Harvey and Red Kelly.)http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/8/81/Orr.jpg

D- Doug Harvey (In 1998, he was ranked number 6 on The Hockey News' list of the 100 Greatest Hockey Players.)http://www.beehivehockey.com/images/player_images_group2/dougharvey2m.jpg

G- Georges Vézina (also known as "The Chicoutimi Cucumber". Canadiens owners Leo Dandurand, Leo Letourneau and Joseph Cattarinich dedicated a trophy in Vezina's name to be presented annually to the top goaltender in the NHL.On February 18, 1918, he became the first goaltender in NHL history to record a shutout by blanking the Toronto Arenas 9-0. On December 28, 1918, he became the first goaltender to be credited with an assist, on a goal by Edouard "Newsy" Lalonde, who had just picked up the puck after a save by Vézina.)http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/5/56/Vezina.gif

COACH- Toe Black (While playing with the Canadiens, he was part of a trio called the "Punch Line," which featured Elmer Lach and Maurice Richard. He won the Hart Trophy as the NHL's most valuable player and the Art Ross Trophy as scoring champion in 1938-39.Blake coached the Canadiens for 13 years, winning eight Stanley Cups – the most for any coach in the team's history and second in the NHL. He is still the winningest coach in Canadiens' history. He was known for his tough, but fair coaching style; his players always knew he was on their side.)as player: http://www.beehivehockey.com/images/player_images_group1/toeblake1.jpg

My dream team would be the Anaheim Contenders right here in Anaheim, CA, home of the next Stanley Cup champs, the Ducks!
Anyway, I'd have Brodeur and Hasek as my goalies.
On Defense, would be S. Neidermeyer and Chris Pronger.
Center would be Joe Thornton
RW-Teemu Selanne
LW - Brendan Shanahan
Now: my team colors would be Orange, Black, Teal, Red, Blue.
Captain would be Neidermeyer. Alternates would be Selanne and Shanahan.
That's smart hockey. Speed, brains and talent.
The speed comes from Selanne and Shanahan. Brains from Neids and talent from everybody!
My dream team takes on anybody!

As fun a question as this is, please just give best answer to the Habitant as he provides the most solid answer for this question.

Me? Brodeur in goal, Bobby Orr and Scott Stevens on defense, Phil Esposito, Gordie Howe and Guy LeFleur up front.

Call my team the Colorado Rockies (which was a real NHL team name before they were the New Jersey Devils). White uniforms with red and blue for home games and Blue uniforms with red and white on the road.
