Mr.Know: how would I resolve a bad ground?

2007-03-29 10:28:16 · update #2

@autoinsp -- Since it's only happening on one side, maybe it's a bad ground like Mr.know said. Maybe I'll try replacing the socket and see what happens.

A short in the wires???? NOT!
A short would blow fuses.

More than likely you have a bad ground at the tail lights and both tail lights and brake lights are iluminating causing the bulb to overheat.

Or you're putting 6 volt bulbs in a 12 volt socket.
Are you using the wrong bulbs?

It's so weird that I don't even have a theoretic suspicion... How about the bulbs are defective?
Now, if all bulbs were blowing, I would have an explanation but only tail lights...
