The liver plays an important role by detoxifying many compounds in the body. Which organelle would you expect to find in high quantities in the liver, and why?

Smooth endoplasmic reticulum plays the largest role in detoxification. One of the big detoxifying enzymes contained in it is Cytochrome P450. Lysosomes and peroxisomes are also inmportant in detoxification though.
