I was really nervous to give birth my first time around, i was only 19 and it was really scary for me, i had my husband with me and he tried to help but he is a guy so what does he know about labor right. The best thing i can tell you is chew on lots of ice, and get pain medication (if you have time, my first was only an hour and half labor!) and one last thing surround yourself with things to distract you! i had a small teddy that i held on to the entire time (it is my daughters now) it brought some comfort in between pushing!

Ok I'm not a freakin guru, but my suggestions.
Make sure to have a nursing bra and comfy clothes with you. Also get nursing breast pads, to soak up the excess milk... cuz there will be a lot!!!Bring your own shampoo and conditioner, the next day you'll want a shower and what the hospital provides makes you feel worse than if you didn't shower.
Otherwise the actual giving birth is such a mental thing. Of course it hurts physically, but for me it was all concentration and keeping in my head. I did not use any pain killers, did it all natural, and that was my first.
there is no way to prepare for the pain and the AWESOME experience, you will remember it very romantically. it is like nothing else you'll experience. Congrats!!!!

Oh honey....It is easy!
There will be so much going through your head that you wont care. You will just be glad to get the baby out.
Take childbirth classes. They will keep you well informed.
If you dont plan on breatfeeding, still take the breastfeeding class.
And I didn't want the epidural at first but I got it anyways and it made things so much easier on me and I had my baby really fast.
Walk alot and keep yourself healthy and take your prenatal vitamins and your baby will be here in no time.
It feels like forever, but when the baby finally gets here it will seem like just yesterday.
Also, if you are one to stress on alot of stuff, try not to read the pregnancy books. They will make you go crazy.
I went through my whole pregnancy thiking the best and not worrying about a thing and I barely even noticed I was pregnant.
After my son was out I looked at my hubby and told him that was the easiest thing I had ever done in my life. My doctor thought I was crazy but it was a really good feeling.
Congrats and Good Luck

Nervousness is normal, gosh-I was a wreck. I learned that i really need to trust and rely on the nurses. I wanted to still be able to move around, etc...while in labor, but it was just difficult. I wish I had known that they would put an IV in my arm as soon as I got there and leave it there for another day. This is only because it was unexpected and annoying. Also be aware that plans change-I had my mind set on a natural birthn emergency...but that changed when I needed a C-section. Just be flexible and go with the flow-your child is not going to be following an agenda, just moving at its own pace. Good Luck and relax-you got plenty of time!

Mothering.com has wonderful info on childbirth and great links too.
Giving birth does NOT have to be painful or scary. Natural childbirth can be painless or almost so.
I highly recommend exploring the Bradley Method as well as hiring a DOULA (a real MUST have).
Check out the book Birthing From Within as well as Gentle Birth Choices.

Everyone handles giving birth differently. My best advice would be when the time comes, try and not fight the pain, just kind of go with it. After I had my first child my arms hurt worse than anything from gripping and trying to fight the pain. Try and stay relaxed and let nature take it's course. Congrats on your pregnancy! I am due in Nov. with my third!

When I first found out I was pregnant, the idea of Labor made me REALLY NERVOUS.
Then i found out exactly what an epidural is/does. It literally makes your whole lower body NUMB, so that all you feel is vague pressure. WOOHOO!!
Now that I'm closer, I've been reading more and more about labor & Delivery (at first I avoided reading ANYTHING) and getting more comfortable with the idea.
Know that millinos of women make it through labor-- and LOTS of them do it again and again. Plus there's plenty of pain medications. You'll be okay!!

with my first child i was so scared to get the epidural and my blood pressure went up and when I finally got it I was give out and ended up pushing for 1 hour and 45 minutes. The baby was green when she came out. With my second I wanted them to meet me in the parking lot with the epidural. It was a breeze. I pushed for 30 minutes and didn't even break a sweat. Good luck. I know it's scary but you'll make it.

Its fine and it is normall so don't be nervous if you did then it might 'll effects your child. Every thing 'll be fine and share everything with your husband don't take any random pills or ask your doctor and get a check up. Think good every thing 'll be fine and you 'll have a very cute baby like me soon. Best of luck and may God bless you.
