Don't think of anything. Believe me it works. It's really hard to keep your mind from thinking, but if you can stop for just like 10 seconds, you'll feel like the weight of the world is off your shoulders. And thinking to yourself "Ok I'm gonna stop thinking now," is thinking -.-

Peace of mind comes from removing troubles and concerns from your current thinking. IF you are troubled by something and you can do what it takes to solve the problem, then do the right thing, solve the problem and you won't be troubled anymore, thus peace of mind.
IF you cannot do anything about it, you will only delay being at peace with it, so then you have to put your mind to work on something you can do something about it. Some people meditate to stop thinking about anything and for some it brings them to a peaceful state.
Others, (myself, for example) see situations and figure out what I can do about it and then act on that. If I'm thinking troubled thoughts that prevent me from peace of mind, as quickly as I realized I'm stressing from what I'm thinking about, I make myself think of anything else, something pleasant or a different topic and focus on things I like or what I can do, not what I can't.

Man I think that is a question that has to be left up to you to be answered just because of the fact that I can tell tou what gives me peace of mind... but that may not necessarily give you a state of peace within your own mind... A few things that help me... quiet walks... talking to one you love about anything, smokin a splif.. haha

The Serenity Prayer
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
Amen.

Well for me. I just kind of just let go.... in my mind what is bothering me.....like basically not make a big deal out of stupid things...like things that usually would piss me off...just not care...i mean i'm not wreckless or irresponsible...I just don't care in a reasonable way...

First, don't sweat the small stuff.
Next, realize that it's all small stuff.
