A couple of my friends are all on tri-c, and I am the only one on Lutera, what is the difference, and why did she chose Lutera for me?
Does anyone know if Lutera made them gain weight?

I have been on lutera for a month now and it's pretty great! Ortho tricyclen low made me very sick and so I switched to lutera. At first I spotted brown liquids, but not for long. I also seemed to be having headaches during the first 2 weeks I was using it, but they disappeared quickly. Now I am happy with it, and it has even made me loose a little weight! =d. Good luck!

Lutera is a monophasic pill, tri-c is a triphasic pill. Monophasics are really easy to deal with, if you drop a pill you can just take any of the other ones as they are all the same - you get the same level of hormones all month. You can even skip the sugar pills entirely and not have a period without any problems.
Tri-phasic pills have three different levels of hormones, one of each week - highest in the middle of the month. I constantly got spotting when I was on a tri-phasic pill. I love my monophasic pill - I only have a period every three months now. You could talk to your doctor about taking them that way.

People often start contraceptive pills at an age when they are still gaining body weight - and blame it on the pills, but the truth is they would have gained the weight whether they were on the pill or not. Sometimes the pill can increase your appetite, so you want to eat more, but if your diet is healthy then you won't gain weight.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

Your dr may have chosen this particular brand as the best choice for you based on your history.

I had something like this happen when I was trying to get a brand of pill to work at helping to keep my endometriosis in check and at the time I asked my dr about Ortho-Tricyclen (this is when it was being strongly pushed as being the best pill for treating acne problems about 4 years ago). She told me no because of the kind of problems I get with breakthrough bleeding and that it was notorious for the breakthrough bleeding problem as well so it would make things worse for me.

All pills (not just the one you are taking) have the potential to cause weight gain but that weight gain when it occurs is mostly water.

Some women who go on the pill also lose. It depends on how their body deals with it when it comes to the issue of weight.

Get a toned body by doing the following:
