i am throwing a party at my house that will go from 8:00 PM to about 3:00 am. i know a few people might not come because they don't have a babysitter for their kids. should i ask if they would like to have the kids sleep upstairs in the spare bedrooms during the party?

I would if you want them at the party and just rent some movies and have some kid snacks in case the kids want to ruin your fun.

No, don't invite them to bring their kids. It's tempting but any party that lasts until 3 is going to have alcohol. Do you really want the kids up at midnight getting into the car with intoxicated parents? Kids are safe at home in their own beds, not spread out all over the place in your spare bedrooms, unsupervised.
I have had a party where I hired a babysitter for a few kids who were upstairs but it was because their parents were neighbors, the party didn't go late, and they were being entertained, not sleeping. If you do that, pay the babysitter more and maybe have two if it is a bunch of kids.

Children should not be subjected to intoxicated adults.A responsible parent will stay home if they don't have sitters,
but none the less children should not be in that kind of environment.
I am guessing there is going to be alcohol? If there is no alcohol then the kids will be okay, but when there is alcohol
it really is not good for them to be there.If something goes wrong you will be responsible for it. The question is do you want that kind of responsibility on your shoulders?

i think that if u can control the party and its goin to be a mellow laid back just a few friends drinkin that kids sleepin might be ok, but if they kids are small or too old a party might night be a good ideal, but tellin them and lettin them make there own choice about it mightmean alot to them, says ur tryin hard to find a way for them to be there

adult parties should be adult parties, and kids party should be kids parties. kids are already expose to, to much and every shut eye is not sleep.
