Yes.

Most definitely.

Muslims make up a good 1/4th of the world's population, demonizing them means that there is 1/4th of the world that will be constantly under attack and treated as less than human. Additionally, as Indonesia, the world's largest Muslim-majority country has 1/3rd of the world's natural gas reserves and controls the waters through which 2/3rds of all commercial ships pass, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, etc. have most of the oil, etc. there is always going to be demand for these things, which will lead to war to take these commodities if peaceful negotiations can not be established, which are far more difficult when one person treats another as a demon.

To paraphrase what the Bosnian Mufti said on NPR, "This is exactly the sort of hatred which preceeded the Holocaust in Germany, exactly the same sort of hatred which preceeded the genocide in Bosnia. People claimed that would never happen, but it did." Of course, it's not like those events led to war...oh wait..they did.

Additionally, if Jews, Christians, and Muslims can't get along with so much in common, what hope is there for the rest of us?

The Islamics are demonizing themselves and are hurtful for world peace!

Absolutely. As a former Muslim, I can tell you that an overwhelming majority of Muslims are very nice people and stand beside the American beliefs that a lot of the governments of the Middle East need to be overturned and restored in some better form of government. Whether or not that mean a democracy should be up to the people of those countries, but they all agree that the "extremists" are giving the entirety of the religion a bad name, when in fact these "extremists" are a very minute percentage of the Muslim population.

Absolutely! Demonizing anyone's religion has detrimental affects on world peace. And prior to stating one's opinion on whether or not one religion is superior to the next, they should have the fundamentals down with regards to what the religion is about. After all, how can someone hold a compelling argument if they don't have a good base to start from?

Yes. But then while Islams become outraged at people demonizing them, they do not show their outrage at the fundamentalists blowing themselves up. And staying silent in the face of terror is also hurtful for world peace.

I don't know if Islam it self is peaceful or not, but these people who kill in the name of islam aren't peaceful

it has nothing to do with not knowing about what a person's beliefs are.

absolutley. i'm not sure but isn't Islam the most popular worldwide religion?
we must be careful not to demoniz Islam. it's small radical movements within Islam that breed hate and intolerance and use terrorism.

there will never be world peace. but we can try.

islam is the latest totalitarianism to try for world domination and will be destroyed like the ones that came before them....

they call it peace once they force you to convert to islam.
notice that there are no islamic countries that grant equal rights to non muslims, they call that peace too, but a slave is still a slave no matter how well you treat them. none of use are free unless we are all free.

beware of muhammad the robber, raper, murderer, pedophile, false prophet of doom, jesus wannabee.

The radicals can't be "demonized" sense they haven't stopped being demons. They are and always have been demons. Here's the big hint, they are still cutting people's heads off.

How could it possibly be hurtful to blame 1.5 billion people, roughly 20% of the world's population, for the fanatical actions of an incredibly tiny minority (less then 1/100th of 1%).
