I need to change both measurements to the same unit of measure,then find the scale factor for a few problems:

2-in. model of a 5-ft desk

4ft- model of a 120-yd field

30-cm model of a 7.5-m wall

Well, there are 12 inches in a foot.

There are 3 feet in a yard.

There are 100 cm in a meter.

So for 1:
(2in)(1ft/12in) = x ft

number 2:
(4ft)(1 yd/3ft) = x yards

Number 3
(30cm)(1 m/100 cm) = x meters

5 feet =60 inch so scale factor=60/2=30
1 yard = 3 feet scale = 120*3/4= 90
1 m =100cm scale =7.5*100/30=25
