Sounds like a dream come to true for many people!

I on the other hand have seen acquaintances of mind have more than enough money to do anything they chose to do and they weren't any happier than people who don't have much.

Money can make your life easier in that the daily struggle isn't there to earn enough for all the needs and wants in life. However .... when you don't have to work for that money to achieve a certain standard of living .... then it really doesn't have a much meaning.

Now as for the family and friends part of your question. In this case .... I would say an absolute emphatic "NO"! Without true friends and real family, to see you through your good times as well as bad ... what is the sense of living life. So much of a human being's happiness comes from the interaction with the people who are close to their heart.

As for being famous ... well just look at the tabloids my friend ... being famous is not all it's cracked up to be. Sometimes I think that the rich and famous have more issues, sadness and turmoil in their lives than the average person does. Being in the limelight might be great as in having your "15 Minutes of Fame" but any longer than that, I think you can be asking for a lot of trouble.

I realize that this is a long winded answer ... but I feel that a simple "No" would not explain my thoughts on this matter.

No! Family is far more important than material possessions! I wouldn't ever give up my family for material possessions! Friends either! 5 million can go down the drain. You can get more money easily. You can't get more family that way. My friends support me as does my family. I am nothing without them!

Yes, but then I'd use some of the money to have the guy who offered the deal offed and make the contract void, then have my Family and friends back.

Who wants to be famous. Everyone wants a piece of you. I would take the money, but forget fame.

I would do it. Because I know I could always come back for the people that I want to be with me. Plus I would have the money to enjoy their company and life in general.
