Do they consider the consequences that may come along with having a child. Perhaps the child will aquire an awful disease. The child will have to face many hardships and injustices throughout life. etc. etc. you get my point. Or do they simply say "oh having a kid might be fun, they are so cute, lets have one!"?

Yes people do think about that stuff... But hasn't anyone ever told you that having kids is an adventure?? That the best parts of children are that they are so unpredictable??? Go to any school/park/whatever and ask children the same question and you will get a different answer from all of them...
Not to mention that there are some issues that children can get that are so not predictable!!! If they were, then my son would not have asthma.. My son would also not have gotten pneumonia right after he was born. And my daughter would not have acid reflux...
So yes people do think things through.. Maybe not all of the people all of the time but most of them do most of the time...

I had three of them the first two was a surprise and the third was a lets talk about having one and the next thing I knew I was pregnant
