They actually work together in a variety of ways.

The most obvious is the heart. Without a heart, you don't HAVE much of a circulatory system to speak of. And it probably goes without saying that the heart is a muscle.

But it's not all about the heart, either. Your blood volume is constantly changing as you consume fluids or lose blood, and all your vessels have muscles to compensate for these changes, though a process called vasodilation or vasoconstriction (depending on whether they're getting bigger or smaller). That's why it's a good idea to rest for ten minutes if you donate a pint of blood - it gives your system time enough to squeeze all those veins and arteries down.

Another way your muscular and circulatory system work together is to resist gravity. Your heart does most of the job, but it can't do it alone. In your limbs, major veins all run between the muscles and the bones. That way, whenever you flex a muscle it squeezes blood out of the vein. Because veins also are filled with one-way valves, the blood is all pushed upward back toward your heart. This is why sometimes your hand or foot might 'fall asleep' if you don't move it for a while - without the help from your muscles there, the blood has stopped moving like its supposed to!

Hope that helps! Good luck with your project!

example.
heart=muscle
blood system=circulatory system
heart pumps blood around the blood system.
