I have to applaud all the gay and bisexual people because I find that you are more intelligent and I can have a good conversation with you all. The straight people on this board seem to be predominantly emotional and close-minded. There used to be a lot of intelligent people there as well, but they seem to be disappearing. It's unfortunate that I can't have much conversations with you because I am straight, but I wish there were more intelligent people and less emotional types on this board.

I also feel like I am on an island surrounded by idiots
yet I find that sometime irrespective of gender or sexual preference some people can be closed minded.

Our culture is more emotional and reactive than before- I guess.
I am glad we are here. I have had meaningful interactions, and hopefully helped a little, with several adolescents. GLBT kids are at major risk for suicide, and violence. It's important that there be a non exploitative way for us to talk to them.
And I have been called on my junk by them many times, which is good for me too.

I am sure that the compliment is appreciated but I have to ask you something.
Why is the fact that you are straight mean you can't have conversations with gays? You already said that you could have a good conversation with us all.
It makes me wonder if what you said is such a compliment after all.

a lot of the "striaght" people who post ignorant statements here are not dumb, they have issues. many are closeted gays, and that can be very tough to deal with.
