With MY daughter it would be because I am very protective. The world these days isn't safe for kids (adults either, for that matter!!)
I could never forgive myself if I failed in my job as a parent and something happened to my girl. I guess it's all about LOVE and PROTECTING our kids!!

Good choices come from making a lot of bad choices. Parents "think" they can protect their kids from making the same bad choices they did. Of course they fail to realize that it only means that we'll make all different bad choices. Experience is experience, and there's only one way to get it.
