I don't accept the premise of your question. Most liberals spend little time watching the Republican News Network. Let's face it, Fox News is highly biased towards Republicans. There is no debating that point! Ther head of Fox News is an old GOP operative.
I am a moderate, and I watch Fox sometimes because they cover stories that the other networks ignore. I watch the Factor sometimes, but I can only take a few minutes of O'Reilley's yelling at his guests!
I enjoy watching Hardball with Chris Matthews on MSNBC, and Lou Dobbs Tonight on CNN at 6:00 PM. MSNBC is not a liberal news network; more than half of their nightly shows are hosted by Republicans and moderates.

I don't think they really do watch it, some do - sort of like keep your friends close and your enemies closer. I'm a moderate and I wouldn't waste my time watching Faux News. How do I know they are biased? The beginning of my disenchantment with them came back on 2004 during the election. I tried to canvas all news stations so I could get a good idea of all the candidate's stands on the issues and catch all daily reports. After awhile I dropped going to Faux News because they were so angled toward Republicans and featured such biased reporting and pundit shows that they became useless to me. Now you can hear most other journalists and politicos in the political world point out their biases and frankly, make fun of them for calling themselves a news station. Sorry, but I have to agree with them. It's a no-brainer. CNN is definitely liberally biased and Faux News is right wing fodder. I check out C-Span a lot and I watch a few shows and get my basic news from MSNBC. At least there I can watch pundit opinion shows that have equal representation from Republicans and Democrats and show both sides of the picture. When I've tried to watch political opinion shows on Faux News they too try to have both sides available. They just tend to key in on the "liberal" side and gang up on them rather than have a real debate or opposite talking points. It always seems like a set up to make the conservatives look good and the moderates or liberals look bad.

If they don't know what Fox News is showing, Liberals don't know what exactly they are for or against. They have to take an opinion poll for that. They hate anything Fox News supports. So if Fox News said we should withdraw from Iraq................... hey! Let's go tell Mr. O'Reilly how to really screw up the Libs.

I don't define myself politically, but Fox news is very adversarial. And Rupert Murdoch is the last person who needs to have people employed by him speaking about morality.
This *man* built an empire by reporting sleaze and left his wife of many years for another woman. And when he speaks of his new wife, he only seems to be interested in her because of the opportunities she might open to him in China.
He is God Awful. The people on his channel, as well as the publishers who work for him, reflect his hypocrisy.

Because that is one of the differences between Liberals and Conservatives. Liberals get their information from a number of different sources. Conservatives tend to get their information from one source.

Because they can't help themselves. They want to try control the media even more than they do now. By the same token guys like Rush Limbaugh spends his entire show discussing democrats and liberals and what they did or are doing citing liberal media outlets so it goes both ways. If you ask me both parties are sick.

Many I know watch it to see the alterntive perspective on issue.
I'm not a liberal, but that's why I watch it. To see what they are saying on topics. Same reason I watch CNN or MSNBC. To see what they are saying on topics. Then I research the actual facts of the events and form my own conclusions.
But all of them tend to present a skewed version of reality, so it really comes down to which slant and spin you prefer.
