How long does it take to get pregnant?

If you had sex on Monday.....and today is Thursday. Can you be pregnant or can it be too soon?

Yes you get pregnant right away if you had been ovulating that day or the day before. But if you hadn't ovulated yet, there is still a change of becoming pregnant 5 days after you had sex. Because the sperm can live up to 5 days inside of you, ready to fertilize your egg.

You can be pregnant the instant you have sex. It doesnt take days, actually the later it is the less chance you will be prego. sperm can only live so long (i think 48hrs?) so if your not pregnant before then you wont be. Now it may take longer to show up on a pregnancy test because the test measures the amount of pregnancy hormone you have in your urine and that gets stronger the longer you are pregnant.

Yes you could be pregnant but you will have to wait a few weeks to know for definite as the level of the hormone your body releases when pregnant will not be high enough to detect yet. If you do think you are you should do a test the day after your next period is due. Hope this helps!

Depend... if you a regular menstruation cycle says 28 days. Count day one on the first day you had your period you stop at 14. Such as you had your period today is 3/28 that would be day one and stop at April 10. Then count 3 days back and 3 days forward that would be April 7 to April 13, you are ovulating. The sperms stays alive for 72 hours.

You can be but it would be to early to detect it. Also you don't necessarily have to get pregnant the day you have sex because sperm can live in your body for a few days. If you're trying to get pregnant keep in mind that it's different for different couples. Some get pregnant in their first month of trying and others take years. Good luck.

it took me and my husband 3 months but some people can take up to a year. I actully thought it was taking us forever so i made an appt with a specialist to see about infertility issues i had just gotten of the pill and had a history of PID due to many ovarian cyst. So there are other thing to take into account.,but he told me after 6months of trying if i wasn't to come back and h'd start me on clomed hope this has helped. Good luck trying!

i assume youre asking because you want to take a preg. test. the hormones needed to test positive will not be evident until 5 days before when you are supposed to have your period. it takes 1-3 days for the sperm to travel up your system and fertilize your egg, so you could already be pregnant, but there is no way to know until at least 5 days before you miss your scheduled period.
