AnyDVD won't damage anything.

Yes it will remove some copie protection. Once the copie protection is remove you will be able to do a copy. It software related, it read the DVD, and before copying it remove a portion of data.

The data from the DVD is first copied to your hard rive. Then it remove any copying protection. Nothing to worries.

A store bought DVD is not writable, it makes no change to the DVD itself, those type of programs are generally made so that you can make backup copies of discs since commercially made movie etc dvds have a protection system to keep them from being copied.

AnyDVD is a associated application that works with CloneCD and CloneDVD. You have to have this active in order to burn a DVD. I would suggest to use DVDShrink as well. Nothing will happen to your DVD's all its doing is reading and breaking the codes and storing temporary file to write on your blank DVD.

ok all any dvd does is act as a go between the dvd and windows, it doesn't do anything to the dvd, it just makes windows see the disc as not copy protected so you can make a copy of it.

Hi. It only removes the protection from the backup COPY, not the original.
