For the light: you can find a little booklight in most places, ebay, walmart , traget, ect.
They are pretty cheap too.

For the stay up thing: They have energy drinks that can keep you up for a while, coffe, pop.

The gum makes it so you can conetrate better

If you buy a book light and clip it to your book that would work. With mine, all I have to do is push a button and it turns off. And for the staying awake part, if you have an MP3 player or something turn it on really loud, but not to loud that it'll damage your ears. And now I have a question for you. Where in the world did you get the Deathly Hallows book?

Flip lights are perfect. They clip on the book and give light only to the page, not all over the place. Plus they go out when you close them, very quick and easy, check the link below to Discovery Store for an example!

Good luck!!!

Clip lights and a magnifying glass, always did the trick for me. And it dont cost much either. At the dollar store for both will run you below $5.00

The Itty Bitty Book Light, they have them at Target and you could probably get one cheaper on ebay.

It is battery operated and clips on to the cover of the book.

You could try a booklight. There are some that clip to your book, and you can turn them off just by moving them slightly.
