LMAO
Hell no
Magic, Oscar, Tiny, Payton, Isiah, Stockton, Kidd, Allen Iverson, Kevin Johnson, West , Tim Hardaway, cousy all much better players.
Nash is just getting a lot of undeserved hype right now. He's not even a hall of fame player check his career numbers.
A slow start followed with an average playing career highlighted by an inflated prime on a team that shoots every 5 seconds is nothing special.
Put any player I just mentioned on this suns team, in their prime, instead and they win the championship, something nash can't do.

Well, seems how you said "best point guard" and not "best to play the point guard position", then yes. Magic was definitely a better all-around player than him, but also not a pure point guard. Okay, what's a point guards job? Run the offense, lead his team, and get everyone involved. Can you think of anyone that does that better than Steve Nash? I know Stockton and Kidd come close, but Nash also has two straight MVPs, & counting, to go with it.

Emphatically, NO!! Of course, there is no way to definitively determine who is the best point guard. I have seen Nash play, as well as players such as Magic, Isaiah, Stockton, Kidd, etc. I believe the aforementioned player were(are) better than Nash. Magic, Kidd, and Isaiah at some point in their respective careers were the best players on their teams. I've followed Nash's career, and never, and I mean never, has he been the best player on his team. Amare is arguably a franchise player, and Shawn Marion has been solid MVP candidate at least once in his career; Nash's career in Dallas does not even merit discussion. Since winning championships seems to be the primary criterion in determining who is the best player in the NBA, I'd have to say Magic is the best point guard of all time.

Steve Nash is very good, but probably not the greatest point guard of all time.
Magic Johnson is probably the greatest point guard of all time followed pretty closely by Oscar Robertson and my personal favorite of all time John Stockton who embodied what a point guard should be.
Another great guard people don't think of is Nate "Tiny" Archibald. He was the only player ever to lead the league in scoring AND assists in the same season.
Steve Nash is a great point guard and currently the best int he league, but he wasn't great until he joined the Suns. He was good as a Maverick, but no one thought of him as a future HOFer or even the best point guard currently playing. That distinction was held by Jason Kidd.

Sorry, until Nash can average a triple double for an entire season(1961-1962) and rack up a career total of 168 triple doubles that title has to go to Oscar Robertson. I'd say Magic Johnson still has an edge on Nash as well.

No, don't forget there was Isiah Thomas, John Stockton, Magic Johnson, and DO NOT FORGET JASON KIDD!!!!
Kidd has more than 85 triple-doubles in his career and this year like last year he has more triple-doubles himself than the rest of the league does. He has even passes the great Wilt Chamberlain for most triple doubles.

Definitely. The championship would be a nice crown to his already stunning record, but the lack thereof doesn't make him any less the phenomenal star that he is. Unfortunately, I think that the Mavs are going to take it all the way this year....too bad for the Suns.
