Yes, I have noticed that as well.
This is why we need to be diligent about choosing a "best answer," so that a bigoted and hate-spewing answer doesn't get voted "best" by the prejudice-mongers.
EDIT - I am wondering if Tegarten has fallen victim to the same scam, or if he is just on vacation, or if he finally got fed up with Yahoo not enforcing its TOS nor banning IP addresses.

Actually, I noticed it about a week ago, a question was asked, and everyone gave positive answers, but they ALL had EXACTLY 2 thumbs down. I assume that someone is going through the section and just thumbing down every answer by a LGBT person. But thumbs down don't really mean ANYTHING, I thought, other than to make it so some answers are hidden, right?
I have also noticed lately that certain trolls are the FIRST answerer for a lot of questions, saying something like SICKO SICKO SICKO. I wonder why these people feel the need to sit there and as soon as a question pops up, answer it insultingly.

I noticed that too. But in the same time, it's their loss. It's our section, and gay people in here are much more than the trolls. We can give them thumbs down as well, and report them. The best thing to do is, as I said, keep pushing that flag button. Thank God Craven is back, he's a good guy, just make sure we give thumbs up to our LGBT friends and to outlaw the trolls by the duality (Thumbs+ flags) !

Yes, I've noticed. But believe it or not the Queen troll on here asked a question that I was about to answer & it lasted 3 minutes before it was deleted. I'm glad Cravens back

you all started this by reporting people and getting their accounts deleted. So now they are doing it back to you. there's an old buddist saying that "what you do comes back to you three times", I'm sure you'll all learn your lesson in time. If not then you will have an ongoing battle with the people you are reporting, reporting you and so on back and forth until the problems result in the removal of this section from yahoo like it was in the discussion section of yahoo news some time ago.

Yes. A couple of the Trolls even admitted to doing this. I've experienced and been told of Trolls following others into other sections of Yahoo and totally respectful and informative answers are being given many thumbs down.

yeah, i've noticed too. i'm relatively new here, but i have a theory. see, yahoo used to have comment boards for different new stories. in fact, there wasn't an LGBT related story that didn't get trolled to death on the news comment forums. this is where the trolls would all congregate for some hatin'. yahoo took those board away a few months ago, and now all the trolls are here. they are just a bunch of pathetic people who seem to have nothing better to do in life but to put others down. and most of them wouldn't have the nerve to say half the crap they spout of in here to our faces.

Hi JD,
Yes, I noticed it to!
Every time I put down a positive answer about LGBT only moments after it got a thumb down...
I tried to counteract it with giving thumbs up at those answers.
It's just somebody who has a lot of time on his/her hands and probably a very low esteem of him/herself... maybe even an LGBT whose is still in the closet and afraid to come out...
I just let them be...it's their loss...

I, too, have noticed this. It has to be the trolls. There isn't much we can do about that though. Except maybe to give even halfway decent answers thumbs up's so as to negate the thumbs down. I can't think of anything else.

Yep, I happen to know a couple of people who have had trolls attach to their Contacts list to watch and thumbs down each and every answer, not to mention false reporting. I've reported that to Yahoo answers but haven't gotten the hint of a reply.

There are bigots out there who will report and/or thumb down anyone they don't agree with, especially someone who has a different religion and/or sexual orientation.
Thankfully, a thumbs-down doesn't have any consequences! And I'm sure that if someone's going around reporting everyone in the LGBT section, yahoo will catch on
