I normally have sore breasts while I am on my period, but this month I have extremely sore breasts 9 days before my period. I have a 28 day cycle that never changes, so i know what days what happens. This seems really unusual for me (been going on for 3 days now, now its 6 days until my period). They are swollen and can not be touched, much MUCH worse then usual. Any WOMEN have had this, or know what could be a possible cause? I also have a ovarian cyst on my right ovary if that helps..... Thanks for the info!

Well I suffer from sore boobs around the time of my period and I've been taking evening primrose oil for the last couple of months. It's worked wonders! I hardly feel anything now. Have a look in the mirror and see if you see any pink patches or lumpiness as it's possible you have an infection. Mastitis is really painful and can lead to abcesses. I know this because it happened to me! I also wasn't pregnant or breastfeeding at the time. My youngest was 6! So have a check, if you have red or hot bits on them then see a doctor right away and if not then try evening primrose as it really works for me.

Mine are super sore for about a week before I start my period. It never happened to me until about 6 months after I had my second child and now every month for 7 years. The first couple of times it happened I thought I was pregnant because that was always the first sign I got when I was pregnant.

Sore breast before your period is very common due to water retention. Sore breast also happen in the beginning stages of pregnancy

i'm not sure whats' going on in all honesty....but if this is completely abnormal for you, i'd suggest seeing a doc, especially since you do have some other 'health issues'
whenever anything abnormal at all begins happening to your body, you should see your doc.....it could be something serious, or it could be something small that could become somethign serious if not taken care of properly
then again, it could be nothing at all, but get it checked.
we can't examine you or anything, so we can't know how to take care of you. you need to see a doc if you're truely concerned.

idk what the cyst means... but my breasts are really sore right now, and since im in highschool... it makes hugging very hard... oww!!! im not on my period etither... i should start soon tho...
