Is there a common name for movies where seeing the future sets the actions in place that are necessary to achieve it i.e. without first seeing the future events, the character would have never behaved in such a way as to bring them about?
Examples include Premonition (2007), Terminator (I, II, III), Lost Highway etc

I would say it's a time paradox, like Back to the Future 2

Don't know if there is a specific name for them, but Deja Vu with Denzel Washington is a good example of one.

I would call them 'futuristic tales'.
