When i get my period its usually light the first day and gradually starts getting heavier , but never dissapears. especially for 3 days. The last time i was sexually active was 3/21/2007 , we used the pull out method , which has been working for the past 4 yrs , for my bf and i . What are the chances that i could be pregnant? how long should i wait to take a test ? Is it normal to spot as if you period is comming and it dissapears for 3 days ? If this happened to anyone please tell what was the cause ?

As early as 1 day missed you can test.
If you are having sex, the odds of getting pregnant are always there.

There is a chance that you could be pregnant. If this is the week that you're expecting your period then it may be a good time to take a home pregnancy test. I was told by planned parenthood that you can take a pregnancy test as early as 2 weeks after the last unprotected sexual encounter. I actually had the same situation as you. I didn't use the pullout method at the time but I figured I couldn't become pregnant since I never did before. So anyway, the week I was expecting my period I was cramping like I usually did and felt like a heavy flow was coming on. The first day I noticed some spotting, I thought my period was finally coming on. But that was the only time I saw spotting and then nothing after that. So I ended up taking a test and it surely came out positive.

So in my opinion, probably wait a few more days and see if your period comes. If it doesn't then take a test. GOOD LUCK!!!

First of all, there are many better methods of birth control out there. If Pregnant isn't what you are going for, you need to make some better choices. 3/21 is a really bad date for you -it was probably just a little after the middle of your cycle if now is when you're period is due - the middle of your cycle is typically when you conceive - can be a little before or a little after if your are normally on schedule. As soon as your period is due, a pregnancy test will show results. Get a test now and see what happens. This could have been a period that is a little off, you could be pregnant and spotting for no apparent reason, or you could be pregnant and the spotting could be signs of early miscarriage. If the test comes out positive, call your Dr. right away to discuss the spotting, if it comes out negative - find some better birth control and keep your eye on things. BTW, I recommend the pregnancy tests where you can buy a 2 pack - test again in about a week if it comes out negative. Good luck - I hope it turns out the way you want it to.

I have had my period stop for days and start again multiple times from stress. There is also a chance you are pregnant too. The pull out method is unreliable since there still is pre-ejaculation. I had a family member use this method and they ended up having 5 kids doing it. You can take a test now if you are worried. You should also find a new way of protection.

I duno but you have to wait 14 days after sex for the pregnancy test, there may be a chance you are pregnant as the pull out method isn't really that useful- i supose you are quite lucky so far!i sugest you take the test and be more carful in the future- get a iud fitted or something if you dont think you could take the pill regularly

You can still spot even though you might be pregnant. I used the pull out method too. And I ended up with two kids. Thank goodness for birth control. Anyway, it usually takes around 3 weeks or so for a pregnancy test to have any results.

Gosh, I hate that situation. Get a digital test from the drug store first. It does not matter what your usual cycle is, or if you are on birth control. Just get a test first. The test comes with two sticks, just so you can test again if you feel like it. If you aren't PG, well wheew! (get on birth control) Buuuut, if yes, then it still may be early enough for options. Or, if you and your bf are ready to take that next step, then talk it over. Make sure both of you are involved in this because it is both of you who make the decision in the future of what should happen.

That happened to me in 2005, three weeks after I conceived. I got my period on time, and then it disappeared. I took a pregnancy test, and SURPRISE, we're pregnant!!! We had used the pull out method for four years, also, but we knew the risks so we weren't too surprised.

You could very well be pregnant. The pull method? What are you thinking? Pregnancy tests these days can tell you very early on, so go buy one and cross your fingers.
