Reciept with a perfect matching description; initials engraved inside, photo of it, insurance valuation listing it...
Maybe the jeweler you bought it from can help or identify it?
Or last; call the police and ask them for advice?

Unfortunately there is nothing you can do about it. If you can get a receipt, you might have a chance. The police report would've helped because when something like that is pawned, you are required to submit an I.D. for those specific reasons. I hate to say it, but if you want it back, you'll just have to buy it.

1. identify any engraving -if done
2. any pictures you may have of you wearing it
3. sales slip from original purchase OR other proof from that store.
However, even then the pawnshop will not just give you the ring...you will have to purchase it ........UNLESS the police identify it as stolen property...then you still can't have it back until a case is closed, as it constitutes evidence

TOUGH LUCK.
Since you did not file a police report, it is officially NOT STOLEN.
Buy the ring back from them, even if you have to buy it back in installment payments. They are under ZERO obligation to give it back to you since you did not file a police report.

Not much you can do except buy it back.
Unless you have a clear photograph of it and some paperwork from the jeweler where you got it. Or if it has some identifying mark on or in it. (Mine has our anniversary date inscribed inside).
At least you found it so you can have it again, even if you do have to buy it!!

It's been a long time...do you have an original reciept for your property? That would be really useful.

if it was a diamond ring, you probably have the jeweler's certificate for the diamond, right? that might help identify it.
